LVMS Outside Road Course (2.4 mile Original Configuration – CCW)

Las Vegas Region SCCA is hosting a full day Time Trial and Track Event on the LVMS Outside Road Course, running the original 2.4-mile configuration counter-clockwise.
This is a combined event: drivers may participate in timed Time Trials competition or choose an untimed “Track Event” (Exhibition) lapping format.

Payment: Credit cards are processed after the event.
Entry Limit: 100 drivers max.
Registration: Online only at MotorsportReg.com – search “LVRSCCA Time Trial”. No walk-up registration.

If space remains, late registration may be arranged directly through the registrar.
Refund Policy

Membership & Eligibility

SCCA Membership required (Annual or Weekend).

Weekend memberships available for $20 during registration.

Drivers must be legally licensed for street driving.
Drivers under 18 must contact the Event Lead at least 7 days prior to the event for waivers and approval.
Passengers
Passengers are not permitted in timed Time Trial sessions.
No general passenger rides will be allowed during this event.
Timing & Transponders (BYOTD)
This is a BYOTD (Bring Your Own Timing Device) event.
No transponders will be provided or allowed.

Run Groups
Drivers are grouped by experience level:

Novice: 0–2 track days. Includes lead/follow lap in first session and driver coaching support. Passing by point-by on front/back straights only.

Intermediate: 2–4 track days. Point-by passing on front/back straights.

Intermediate/Advanced: 4–10 track days. Point-by passing on all straights.

Advanced: 10+ track days. Point-by anywhere on track.
Run group assignments are based on your MSR driving profile and are at the discretion of the Chief Driving Coach.

Each group will receive four sessions. A final schedule will be emailed before the event.

Conduct, Safety & General Rules

All participants and guests must check in and receive an SCCA wristband.
-
SpeedWaiver is supported, but everyone must still check in to receive a wristband.
-
LVMS requires a separate waiver at the entry gate.
No Wristband = No Insurance = No Track Access.
-
No alcohol before the last session ends.
-
Paddock speed is walking speed.
-
Spinning or 4-off = Mandatory pit stop to speak with an official.
-
The Event Lead may remove unsafe drivers without refund.
Mandatory Safety Equipment
-
Helmet: Snell SA, M, or K 2010 or newer (DOT-only helmets not allowed).
-
Clothing: Long pants or shorts, closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles.
-
Open cars: Eye protection or full-face helmets required.
-
Loaner helmets available for rent.
Vehicle Requirements
-
All street-legal vehicles permitted.
-
SUVs and trucks allowed on a case-by-case basis with approval.
-
Convertibles must have an approved roll bar and pass the broomstick test.
-
All novice vehicles must have a passenger seat with DOT-compliant restraints.
-
Pre-event tech forms must be completed and presented with your vehicle.
Track Staff Support
Our track staff are the backbone of every event.
We invite drivers to donate to the Track Staff Bonus Fund during registration.
LVRSCCA will match 100% of all donations.

CANCELATION POLICY
Drivers - Full refund for cancellations received on or before 11/13/25.
A credit towards one of our future track day events between 11/14/25 and 11/20/25.
No refunds or credits for cancellations (or no-shows) after 11/20/25.
TECH INSPECTION
Our tech inspections are known as "self-tech", and is the standard way track day organizers handle inspections today. Essentially you follow a checklist of items to ensure that all requirements are met, and during registration you will certify that your car meets all the requirements
Tech forms will be available at the event but you are welcome to print out and fill them out on your own
SCCA TT TechForm
Some vehicle tech requirements are as follows:
- Convertibles without factory rollover protection must have a rollbar OR a hardtop. ie. Miatas (all generations) need to have either a hardtop or an aftermarket rollbar. S2000s only need the factory rollover protection
- If your car has any of the following features, take your car to Tech for Tech Signoff
- Convertible
- Aftermarket Seat
- Aftermarket Seat Belts/Harnesses
- Roll Bar/Cage
- Non-DOT Windshield
LVRSCCA reserves the right to refuse a vehicle to be driven on track, if the vehicle is deemed unsafe and does not follow the safety requirements. Drivers who have a vehicle that is declared unsafe will not be issued a refund if their vehicle is unable to pass tech.
HELMET REQUIREMENTS
(A LIMITED NUMBER OF LOANER HELMETS ARE AVAILABLE - PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT SIZE YOU NEED DURING REGISTRATION)
A. Helmets meeting at least one of the following standards must be worn while on track (Note: ECE helmets are no longer allowed as of 2023):
1. All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA2020, M2020, EA2016, SA2015, SA2010, SAH2010, M2015, M2010)
2. SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A;
4. FIA standards 8859-2015, 8860-2010, 8860-2004;
5. British spec BS6658-85 type A are acceptable.
B. Full face shall be worn in an open vehicles without windshields. (e.g. sports racer, exoskeleton kit-cars) Face shield, goggles, or similar face protection (conventional eyeglasses are not sufficient) shall be worn while competing in any other vehicle with less than the standard-size windshield.
For maximum protection, helmets must fit securely and should provide adequate peripheral vision. The chin strap must be securely fastened.
